Handwoven cotton, vintage. 43" wide × 48.5" long. Machine wash gentle, hang to dry.

Four horses across a deep red ground, with frogs, birds and small figures worked in around them. Frogs mean rain and abundance in Maya weaving; the horses came later, and the weavers took them in. All of it brocaded by hand, which is why the figures drift a little out of line — the best part, to my eye.

Good on a wall, across the foot of a bed, or cut down for pillows.

Vintage, and it has been used. Small irregularities come with that.
