A serving paddle from Transylvania, hand-carved and worn pale on the face where the bread sat. The handle has a hole cut for hanging, split slightly with age. Wood, one of a kind.

I keep mine on a hook by the stove and use it constantly. The split has been there long enough that it is not going anywhere.
